Hill: Kennedy signing is massive
The 23-year-old has left the beleaguered Quakers and agreed a two-year deal at Spotland after lengthy negotiations between Rochdale and Darlington's administrator.
Kennedy, an academy graduate of Middlesbrough's youth system, made 53 appearances and scored five goals for Darlington last term.
Hill said: "We have been very impressed with Jason's attitude towards the move and he sees us as a progressive and stable club.
"We have a strict wage structure that we have to work within and this does not go outside that, but it is a way of showing our intent."
