Hill hopes Dale learn lessons
Dale suffered their first loss of the campaign after Marcus Holness' slip allowed Julian Alsop to grab an injury-time winner at Spotland.
"I was delighted with everything bar the result," said Hill. "We made one individual error that has cost us.
"The performance was absolutely outstanding and it was what we expect in terms of the way we are trying to develop our young players.
"Considering the football on display I felt we deserved more. I've said before that we have to give these young players opportunities and accept that they will make mistakes, and we made a mistake.
"We have to hold our hands up and accept that we made that mistake and learn from it."
