Hill hails `fitting` moment

Craig Dawson bid farewell to Rochdale with an 87th-minute equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw against Peterborough in what boss Keith Hill described as a fitting end to his stay. The Dale defender, signed by West Brom last summer and immediately loaned back to Keith Hill's team, signed off in style to earn his hometown club a point when he bundled home Joe Widdowson's cross-cum-shot. "It was fitting that the equalising goal came from Craig Dawson because he has been absolutely superb for us over the last two years," said Hill. "I just wish someone like Gary Jones could have got the winner. "It was a superb start from us and for 25 minutes I felt we totally dominated. They then started to play their game and showed what they can do and with the calibre of player they have, you have got to back them in the play-offs. "They have a manager who has been there and seen it all before, so for us to get it back to 2-2 in the manner we did was satisfying. "At times we couldn't get the ball off the opposition but we still managed to create chances and we ended up going back to a 4-4-2 formation for the last 20 minutes and got a goal."
