Rochdale boss Keith Hill has paid tribute to departing defender Craig Dawson and stressed the need to find a suitable replacement. Dawson came on as a second-half substitute to net an 87th-minute equaliser against Peterborough on Saturday in his farewell appearance at Spotland. He will join West Brom at the end of the season and Hill told the Rochdale Observer: "I'll miss Craig as a friend and someone to cite as an example to others, but I'll also miss him as a player because it's going to be some task to replace him. "He will go down as one of the best young players in Rochdale's history. He's a shining example I will use throughout my career to any young player trying to make an impact on the professional game."
