And Hill said: "This wasn't a case of bouncing back from a defeat, it was just a case of doing what we do, winning games.
"It was really important for us to get back to winning ways, otherwise people would have been asking questions and the supporters would have been saying 'here we go again'.
"We don't have a game now for two weeks, so we can't affect what other teams are doing. We can only affect things on the field when we play and that's why we needed to win this game and keep people thinking 'Rochdale won again'."
