Hill: Dale can't compete with Wednesday

Rochdale manager Keith Hill had no complaints following the 2-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. Giles Coke struck from the edge of the area after receiving Clinton Morrison's lay-off in the 62nd minute, while Morrison made it 2-0 seven minutes from time with a glancing header following Tommy Miller's chip. "I'm proud of my players - they gave everything they've got," he said. "There's a massive difference in the size and quality of the two squads. "We're more financially sound than Sheffield Wednesday, but have I got a 27-man squad? Absolutely not. Could I afford to sign Clinton Morrison who could score the goals to take us up the table? Absolutely not. "My chairman and the board of directors do everything correctly. A lot of clubs are in massive debt and we aren't. We don't build up big debts and that's the way I was brought up. Somewhere the game is wrong. I'm proud of what we're doing - the way we're playing and developing players."
