Dawson becomes man in the mask

The highly-rated youngster sustained a facial injury in last weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Lincoln and will wear the mask to protect him against the Shrews. Dawson said: "I'm sure the lads will give me some stick about the mask but I can live with that just so long as it allows me to play." Dale boss Keith Hill has no other major concerns as his side bid to get their promotion bid back on track after last weekend's wobble against lowly Lincoln. Hill defiantly declared: "We've been top for the last three months and I don't see any reason why that should change."
