Dale win on the road again

12 Dec 2009 - 17:39:08

Rochdale came from behind through goals from Chris O'Grady, Craig Dawson and Joe Thompson to seal a fifth consecutive away win in the league, equalling a club record.

Chris Herd got the opener for Lincoln City at Sincil Bank, before Dale roared back to secure a 3-1 victory.

Morecambe put five unanswered goals past Bournemouth with five different players scoring for the home side. The Shrimps' cause was helped by the dismissal of Marvin Bartley just before half-time.

A Kevin Ellison brace helped Rotherham to a 4-2 win over Bradford City, with Adam Le Fondre providing the assists for both efforts.

A Lee Hughes penalty proved in vain for Notts County as they went down 2-1 to Accrington Stanley, who won thanks to goals from Michael Symes and Jimmy Ryan.

A Clayton Donaldson goal after 67 minutes helped Crewe Alexandra to a 2-1 win over Barnet. Joel Grant had given Crewe the lead before Dean Sinclair levelled for the home side.

A first-half hat-trick from Greg Pearson eased Burton Albion to a 6-1 win over Aldershot Town, whose solitary goal came from John Grant.

Jack Lester scored the only goal of the game at the Recreation Ground to give Chesterfield a 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town.

Paul Benson netted a brace for Dagenham & Redbridge to help the home side to a 3-1 win over Bury. Daniel Nardiello scored Bury's only goal of the game.

An Emile Sinclair double ensured all three points for Macclesfield Town who overcame Hereford United 3-1 at Moss Rose.

Northampton Town scored a second-half equaliser from the spot through Adebayo Akinfenwa following a foul by Port Vale's John McCombe, which saw the defender dismissed. Vale's goal came through striker Marc Richards four minutes before the break.

Shrewsbury's match with Grimsby was the only stalemate of the day in League Two, and Torquay smashed five past rock-bottom Darlington, with Chris Zebroski grabbing two goals in the Plainmoor rout.
