Rochdale romped to a 4-0 victory at leaders Bournemouth in the game of the day in League Two.
Chris Dagnall broke the deadlock right on half-time for the visitors, before Chris O'Grady struck twice, either side of a Simon Whaley goal.
Dagenham & Redbridge drop to third after drawing 1-1 at home to Port Vale - Louis Dodds netting the opener before Josh Scott equalised two minutes from time.
Shrewsbury Town took the lead through loanee Jamie Devitt against Notts County at Meadow Lane, but Graeme Lee equalised five minutes from time, while Rotherham United were held to a goalless draw at home to Aldershot Town.
Chesterfield edged out Barnet 1-0 at Saltergate thanks to a goal from substitute Scott Boden, while Burton Albion and Bury played out a goalless draw at the Pirelli Stadium.
Bradford City fought back from two goals down at half-time to draw 2-2 at Macclesfield Town, while Crewe Alexandra romped to a 4-0 win at Cheltenham Town.
Calvin Zola netted twice for the Railwaymen, with Steve Schumacher and Danny Shelley also on the scoresheet.
Hereford United condemned basement side Darlington to a 2-1 reverse at Edgar Street, with Keith Lowe and Darren Jones getting the goals for the home side.
Morecambe earned a much-needed victory, with goals from Stewart Drummond, Phil Jevons and Paul Mullin enough to see off Lincoln City 3-1 at Christie Park.
A goal from skipper Chris Hargreaves gave Torquay United a vital 1-0 triumph at home to Northampton Town.
