Dale swoop for Spencer

Rochdale have snapped up goalkeeper James Spencer from neighbours Stockport County.
The 22-year-old had fallen down the pecking order at Edgeley Park and has decided to move on after more than five years with the Hatters, with Dale preparing for the likely summer exit of keeper Matt Gilks.
Meanwhile, Dale boss Keith Hill is hopeful of being able to attract quality recruits to the club, once an initial period of buying has calmed down.
He told the Rochdale Observer: "The clubs with a bit of money are already making offers to players and signing them up.
"We can't compete with them, but I still feel the players I hope to bring in will be the right players for us."
