Rochdale have confirmed that they have held discussions about a possible groundshare arrangement with Oldham Athletic. The Manchester Evening News reported that Latics chairman Simon Corney was keen on building a new stadium that both clubs could use. A statement on the League Two's official website read: "Rochdale chairman Chris Dunphy was approached by Simon Corney over the possibility of sharing a new ground to be situated between the two current sites. "Whilst we are not discarding the possibility of this move, this is as far as negotiations have gone so far. "We would certainly like to look into the idea further, but at the moment things are still are the earliest possible stage."
