Dale make Etuhu plans

Rochdale boss Keith Hill has revealed he is making contingency plans should on-loan midfielder Kelvin Etuhu fail to shake off a knee injury.

Hill has agreed to extend Etuhu's loan spell from Manchester City, but is waiting to see the extent of an injury the midfielder picked up in Saturday's draw at Walsall before finalising the paperwork.

"It's important that we put out a few feelers with a view to the worst case scenario of Kelvin being ruled out for a period of time." Hill told the Rochdale Observer.

"While Adam Rundle came on and did a terrific job on the right on Saturday, I feel we need a naturally right-sided player to give us the balance we require.

"I have a couple of people in mind."
