Dale bring in Branston

Rochdale have signed experienced central defender Guy Branston on a two-month loan deal from League Two rivals Peterborough United.

The 28-year-old has been told he can leave the Posh and will be hoping to secure a longer-term stay at Spotland.

Meanwhile, Dale boss Keith Hill has played down talk of a crisis at the club after defeats in their opening two league games of the new season.

He told the Rochdale Observer: "We have made a poor start to the season and conceded seven goals in three games. That is not good enough.

"We hope to get into the play-offs at least this season and play-off teams can afford no more than 12 defeats in the season.

"We have the figure two in the losses column and we are still looking for our first point, but there will be no panic."
