Dale up and running
Rochdale emerged victorious in their first pre-season game of the summer with a 2-0 win over North West Counties side Rossendale United.
Goals from Callum Byrne and second-year YTS player Helio Andre gave Keith Hill's side the win and five trialists were handed opportunities to shine.
Hill said: "We had a plan and the players stuck to their tasks well.
"I don't know when I'll make a decision on the trialists, maybe I have made my mind up about a few already.
"We will all meet up again on Monday and decide from then on what we are going to do.
"There are a lot of available players out there and for us it is about getting the quality for League One and not, with all due respect, Rossendale."
