Dale groundsman hails fans' help
The freezing temperatures led to last weekend's fixtures being decimated throughout all four divisions but Dale are hopeful the visit of Vale will not follow suit.[LNB]Volunteers have spent the early part of this week shifting snow from the pitch and head groundsman Phil Collinson said: "It has been tough but thanks to everyone we have all the snow off the pitch.[LNB]"Underneath the covers the pitch is in good condition and if we had a game due now we could have played.[LNB]"The forecast for the week is good and though we still have surrounding areas to clear, we are confident Saturday's game with Port Vale will go ahead as planned."[LNB][LNB]
