Rochdale boss Keith Hill is pleased with the gradual progress his side are making in League One. Dale returned to winning ways after a three-game losing run with a 3-2 victory over Dagenham, who were promoted from League Two alongside them last season. Hill`s side raced into a three-goal lead courtesy of goals from Chris O`Grady, Anthony Elding and Gary Jones, and looked comfortable until Dagenham pulled a couple of goals back through Damian Scannell and Mark Arber to set up a nervy finish. "I have a lot of respect for (manager) John Still and Dagenham but I felt the scoreline flattered them," said Hill. "It was an unbelievable performance and the only thing I was disappointed with was our failure to defend set-pieces, which allowed Dagenham a way back into the game. "As a creative performance, from goalkeeper right through to the strikers, I was really impressed. "I am pleased with the development and bravery the team has shown. With respect to runs or sequences of results, I have got to make sure we don't look at them, we just have to start making ourselves progressively a League One side."
