Dale boss rejects Dawson rumours

Dawson has been linked with a January switch to Glanford Park after creating a major splash in his first season in professional football.[LNB]The 19-year-old only made his debut for Dale at the start of the campaign, but he has gone on to score nine goals in 28 appearances.[LNB]Hill is determined to hang on to the promising centre-half and believes that, if Dawson does leave Spotland, it will be for a bigger club than Scunthorpe.[LNB]"I think it is just a bit of mischief-making to be honest," said Hill in the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph.[LNB]"I am taking my coaching badge with Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins and speak with him regularly.[LNB]"I know Scunthorpe have been a good stepping stone for young players, but with all due respect to them, Craig is a better player than Scunthorpe United.[LNB]"If he does make a move from here it will be to a higher club."[LNB][LNB]
