Dale boss looking for new faces

Rochdale boss Keith Hill has revealed he needs to bring in some new players with Npower League One experience if he is to establish his side in the third tier of English football. Hill, 41, overhauled his squad in the summer following the promotion from League Two, bringing in eight new players on permanent deals and six on loan contracts. The restructuring seems to have paid dividends for Dale as they currently sit in ninth place in npower League One after only losing four of their opening 13 matches, but Hill says the majority of the squad are League Two players and more quality at this level is needed. He told BBC Sport: "You're always looking to build on the foundation that's got us here. "We're not a League One team or football club just yet. The players that we've bought through are predominantly or have been League Two. The players who can become League One players we want to retain but we've got to blend that in with League One experience. "Our knowledge of League One is improving , and our knowledge of players is improving so we know what type of calibre player we want to recruit to make us more successful."
