Byrne joins minnows
Rochdale rookie Callum Byrne has joined Evo-Stick League First Division north side Trafford on loan.
The 18-year-old first-year professional will spend a month with the club in a bid to gain regular first-team experience.
Rochdale manager Keith Hill said: "It is important that young players get some real football and by that I mean men's football under their belt.
"The move to Trafford gives him the opportunity to gain the experience of the physical challenge of the league.
"He isn't getting that at the moment at Rochdale so it is part of his development as a player and that is integral to him."
