Pennant staying at La Romareda

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant is expected to stay at Real Zaragoza for the new La Liga season, despite recent media rumours linking him with a move away from Spain.

Teams in England, Italy and Greece are reported to be interested in his services, but president Agapito Iglesias has insisted he is a part of their plans.

Iglesias said: "Pennant is one of our big players and is a big talent, we have not offered him to any teams.

"He has a buy-out clause of 25million euros and in that case we would have no choice but we want to keep him, we all believe he will be even better next season."
