Ayala calls for positive response

Veteran Real Zaragoza defender and captain Roberto Ayala hopes the club's players can put a turbulent week behind them by shocking Real Madrid this weekend.

Marcelino Garcia Toral was sacked as coach following last weekend's 2-1 home defeat to Athletic Bilbao, a result that left the club in the relegation zone after picking up only three wins from their 14 games so far this season.

Ayala told Marca: "Of course we are sorry about what has happened but what we have to do now is stop this run of defeats and start winning games to get out of this situation.

"If we are already defeated before the game it is almost better not to go.

"We will meet a powerful rival, which has very good players, but why can't we play a good game and get a positive result?"
