Zidane confirms Ribery talks

Former France legend Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Real Madrid are in talks to try and sign Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery.

Zidane has taken up a position as advisor to returning Real president Florentino Perez and has been given the responsibility of trying to tempt Ribery to follow Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo to the Bernabeu.

He told Le Dauphine Libere: "I am in talks with Franck.

"He is a fantastic player who has his place at Real. Playing in this team is a career opportunity, which, to me, you do not refuse.

"It would be a nice opportunity for Franck. It is up to him."
