Season over for Sneijder

Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder is set to miss the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury. Substitute Sneijder limped out of Saturday's 1-0 win at Recreativo Huelva in the closing stages and looks set to end the season how he started it. The Netherlands international missed the first two months of the current campaign with a knee ligament injury. Scans on the fresh injury have revealed a grade two hamstring tear and Sneijder is now facing up to eight weeks on the sidelines, which brings a premature end to his season.
