Ronaldo welcomes Barca troubles
13 Sep 2010 - 16:56:08
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has declared himself 'happy and surprised' at Barcelona's weekend defeat to Hercules.
Ronaldo, who was part of the Real side that edged out Osasuna 1-0 on Saturday, has welcomed the problems bitter rivals Barcelona find themselves in after going down 2-0 at home to a newly-promoted side.
"There are no unbeatable teams, but I was happy and surprised," he declared.
Meanwhile, the Portugal winger has urged the Real fans who jeered their own side at the weekend to show more support.
Jose Mourinho's Madrid reign began with a goalless draw against Real Mallorca before Saturday's narrow victory at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"It is better if the public help you to play better," declared Ronaldo.
"The energy spent on whistling is the same as what they can use to encourage us.
"I'm sure Mourinho will end up giving us a show. He is one of the best coaches in the world.
"We are a team under construction and we want to win a title this year."
