Real Madrid retained their La Liga title with a dramatic 2-1 victory at Osasuna on Sunday evening.
The visitors trailed 1-0 with seven minutes to play in the Reyno de Navarra, before Arjen Robben and Gonzalo Higuain scored to ensure that Real were crowned champions for the 31st time.
A delighted club president, Ramon Calderon, commented: "We have shown that titles are achieved by hard work and I am proud of the players.
"I think a lot of coach Bernd Schuster. I've already said that whether we won the league or not he was going to continue at the head of the team.
"Now he has to go further. This is a young team and needs to improve, like wine."
Real are ten points clear of Villarreal with three games left to play, with the Yellow Submarine having secured a 2-0 home win over Getafe thanks to a Nihat double.
Barcelona routed Valencia 6-0 in the camp Nou, with both Thierry Henry and teenager Bojan Krkic netting twice.
Racing Santander boosted their Champions League hopes by coming back from two goals down to beat Murcia 3-2, with the losers relegated as a consequence.
Two goals from Renato earned Sevilla a 2-0 victory at home Valladolid, while Dani Guiza netted twice as Mallorca won 2-1 at Athletic Bilbao.
The games between Almeria and Real Betis and Levante and Espanyol both ended in 1-1 draws.
