Real enter Maicon chase

Real Madrid have joined the race to sign Internazionale's Brazilian wing-back Maicon, according to the player's agent.

The 27-year-old is poised to exit the San Siro this summer, with Real joining the hunt for his signature which is being led by Chelsea.

Maicon's agent, Antonio Caliendo, stated: "Maicon is the best right-back in the world.

"Real are interested and I think Manchester City too, but not Manchester United. However, it is up to Massimo Moratti to decide.

"I would be happy if Maicon stayed here to try and win the Champions League."
