Real Madrid are close to sealing a deal to bring Germany international Sami Khedira to the Spanish capital, according to the Stuttgart midfielder's agent.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and the Bundesliga outfit are not prepared to risk losing him for nothing in a year's time.
Khedira's agent, Jorg Neubauer, told Bild: "Everything is fine for us with Real Madrid so far. If they reach an agreement with Stuttgart, the transfer will take place.''
Khedira, who was one of Germany's stars at this summer's World Cup in the absence of Michael Ballack, has scored 15 times in 112 appearances for Stuttgart since making his debut for the club almost four years ago.
