Real Madrid will welcome back Cristiano Ronaldo from his nine-week injury absence when they take on FC Zurich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Ronaldo has missed the last 10 games with an ankle injury picked up in a European game against Marseille in September.
But after returning to training last week and with half an eye on Sunday's La Liga showdown with Barcelona, the £80million winger will return to action against the Swiss side at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"Cristiano Ronaldo has done well in the last few training sessions, he is in the squad and we will see tomorrow if he plays," confirmed coach Manuel Pellegrini.
"It's impossible not to miss a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's quality.
"He is one of the best players in the world, but you cannot depend on one player and the team has responded well in his absence."
Victory for Real will see them progress to the last 16 and Pellegrini insists the squad is focused on their European game rather than the weekend 'Clasico' against Barcelona.
He added: "We only have one game on our minds and that's against Zurich where we will try to qualify for the last 16.
"Once this game has finished we'll start thinking about the game against Barcelona."
