Real Madrid missed a chance to move nine points clear at the top of the Primera Liga table as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Mallorca.
Wesley Sneijder gave Real the led shortly before half-time in the Son Moix, but the league leaders were made to pay for Sergio Ramos' sending-off just past the hour mark.
Eighteen minutes from time, substitute Borja Valero levelled for the home side, having only been on the pitch for three minutes.
Real coach Bernd Schuster said after the game: "I believe that until the sending-off we were comfortably ahead and had control of the game.
"In the end, we were unfortunately only able to take a point. In any case, at this stage of the season it is important to add points, even though it is only one."
In the day's other game, Recreativo Huelva secured a crucial 1-0 victory at Osasuna, with Florent Sinama-Pongolle netting the only goal of the game eight minutes before the interval.
