Rafa: La Liga title race a dogfight

Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has likened the race for this season's La Liga title to a "dogfight".

The Netherlands international's Real and bitter rivals Barcelona are level on points at the top of the table following 26 rounds of matches.

"It's clear that this is a dogfight between Madrid and Barcelona for the league," declared van der Vaart.

"I think we can win every game until the end (of the season).

"The example is the way we played against Valladolid (and won 4-1) as we scored four goals and we are exciting.

"We are very happy, our hope now is to win the league. We won and we will give everything until the end of the season to do so."
