Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed suggestions that he has lost the dressing room following his side's shock Copa del Rey exit at the hands of Alcorcon.
The La Liga giants were jeered by the home fans at the Santiago Bernabeu after Tuesday's 1-0 victory failed to overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit which the Segunda Division B minnows had secured last month.
"The players are with me, but it's not easy overturning a four-goal deficit because we were playing against the scoreline, against the opponent and against anxiety," explained Pellegrini, whose future has been brought into fresh doubt following the shock exit.
"But we are a point behind Barcelona in La Liga and leading our group in the Champions League. This will end well.
"The most disappointing thing is to be knocked out. The problem is what we did wrong in Alcorcon and here there was an excess of anxiety."
