Liverpool chasing Raul

Real Madrid legend Raul is believed to be interesting Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez as the Premier League outfit ponder a move for the veteran forward.

Raul, who has played for the Spanish giants all his career, has slipped down coach Manuel Pellegrini's pecking order with Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema keeping him out of the side.

If any move come to fruition, the three-time Champions League winner could partner fellow Spaniard Fernando Torres in attack at Anfield next season and the 32-year-old has also been linked with a move to America after falling out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has scored 44 international goals and over 220 for Los Merengues.
