Kaka heading back to Brazil for knee tests
18 Nov 2010 - 09:59:53
Real Madrid's Brazilian ace Kaka is set to head back to his homeland for a fresh evaluation of the knee injury which has kept him out of action for the whole of the season to date.
The 28-year-old forward struggled during the World Cup in South Africa in the summer and is still some way off a possible return.
A statement from Real read: "Kaka will travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to be subjected to functional evaluation studies like those he had three months ago.
"The tests will determine the progress of recovery of his knee injury. It will be an objective evaluation to determine the medical treatment to be followed in the final stages of recovery.
"The Sanitas-Real Madrid Medical Services, Doctors Marc Martens and Turibio Leite and Kaka are in agreement and completely in agreement regarding the different recovery stages that must be tackled.
"The player will return to Madrid to finish his recovery process after receiving the test results."
