Granero blasts rumours

Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero has blasted recent media reports suggesting the first-team squad at Santiago Bernabeu are unhappy with head coach Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean boss has come in for criticism following the 1-0 defeat at Lyon in their Champions League last-16 first-leg showdown in midweek.

With Internazionale manager Jose Mourinho rumoured to be replacing him in the summer, Granero has hit out.

He said: "The squad is isolated from the rumours but to me it all appears to be crazy. We have faith in our coach and we do not want another.

"Pellegrini is our trainer this season and we hope he will be so for many more years to come. We are totally behind him."
