The agent of Real Madrid schemer Mahamadou Diarra has insisted he wants to remain at the club next season.
After making a big-money move from French side Lyon in 2006, the Mali international helped Los Galacticos win back-to back La Liga titles in 2007 and 2008, but has since slipped down the pecking order at Santiago Bernabeu.
However, his advisor, Frederic Guerra, has said new manager Jose Mourinho wants to retain his services.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "I spoke with Real Madrid and was told that Jose Mourinho wants Diarra.
"The situation for Mahamadou Diarra is this. He has one more year left on his contract and he is at the biggest club in the world. He is very happy at Real Madrid. Why would he want to go?
"He will play next season. After that, we are free. Diarra always wants to stay at Real Madrid. He has a new coach. He wants to play and fight for his place. He wants to get training and is looking forward to the new season."
