Real Madrid have unveiled their first signing of the summer after presenting Sergio Canales to the world's media.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder agreed to join the La Liga heavyweights from Racing Santander back in February after a stunning breakthrough season in the Spanish top-flight.
Real paid a reported five million euros to sign the highly-rated teenager on a six-year contract.
"Competition doesn't scare me. This is a top level squad and I will fight to win titles with Real Madrid," Canales told the club's official website.
"It was beautiful to sign for Real Madrid because it means I will play with footballers that make a difference and who people like to watch.
"The players on this team are all great and I want to play with all of them.
"Kaka and Cristiano (Ronaldo) were my idols just two years ago and they will now be my team-mates."
