Portuguese champions Benfica have confirmed that they are yet to field a firm offer for in-demand Argentina winger Angel Di Maria.
The 22-year-old is a reported target for a number of clubs in England and Spain, with real Madrid rumoured to be leading the chase.
However a statement from Benfica read: "There are no offers whatsoever that have been made to this club from any other club, notably Real Madrid, or any intermediary for Angel Di Maria.
"We are not aware of any ongoing negotiations regarding the aforementioned player.
"Moreover, this club has only been made aware of possible interest from other clubs in the aforementioned players through the various reports in the media."
