Albiol targets win on return

Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol is hoping the European giants can grab an away-day victory at Valencia over the weekend to keep their title dreams alive.

Albiol, who moved to Madrid in the summer from Valencia, knows the importance of grabbing a victory so they don't fall further behind Barcelona in the title race.

Manuel Pellegrini's men sit five points behind Barca but they do have a game in hand and the 24-year-old is looking forward to returning to the club where he started his career.

Albiol said: "It will be special for me because I will return to the Mestalla and I'll return to my hometown. It will be nice. I hope to enjoy it."

When asked if a draw against Los Che, who occupy third place, would be a good result, he continued: "It wouldn't because we're five points behind Barcelona given that they've played one more game.

"We have to try to win every match in order to take the title."
