Albiol rates David Silva

Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol has admitted he would love to see former Valencia team-mate David Silva wearing the white of the club next season.

Albiol believes the Mestalla favourite would be a big hit in Madrid and wants to see the club's bosses make a move for the Spain international in the summer.

The 24-year-old's contract expires in June 2013 and contains a buyout clause of 90million euros

But with Valencia's financial troubles continually highlighted, they are likely to accept a significantly less offer and it may be the perfect opportunity for Los Galacticos to make the raid on their La Liga rivals.

Speaking to AS, Albiol said: "He is a different player, magnificent, who is also a great person. He would be a great signing."
