Agent: Gago wanted in Italy

Out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago is wanted by a host of Serie A clubs, according to his agent.

The 23-year-old Argentinian has been used sparingly by coach Manuel Pellegrini this season and agent Zoran Vekic has hinted that a January move could be on the cards for the former Boca Juniors starlet.

"It's true, the player is liked in Italy," he declared.

"I have not been contacted officially by any team. A possibility could arise from between now and January, but it all depends on Real Madrid, with whom he has a contract until 2013.

"Until Real Madrid say that they want to sell him we will not be moving."
