Madrid went further ahead just after the hour mark when another defensive mistake let in Marcelo. His shot struck a post before Benzema netted the rebound.
Dyer pulled a goal back in the 89th minute with a close-range volley from a long throw.
The Spanish club are reported to have been paid £2 million by Leicester's Thai owners to appear in the friendly.
The Raksriaksorn family completed a £30 million takeover of Leicester last October and millions were expected to watch the game in Thailand, where the club had sold the rights to the national TV network.
Leicester kick off their Championship campaign against Coventry next week as promotion favourites after the Raksriaksorn family allowed Eriksson to spend £8.5 million on new signings.
