Ronaldo to return against Espanyol

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo will return to action when Espanyol visit the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, a week ahead of Real's Champions League final against Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldo missed his side's 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo last weekend, which mathematically ended their La Liga title hopes, due to a thigh muscle injury.

"Cristiano is fine, he is available and will play tomorrow. He doesn't have any problems," Ancelotti said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

The Portuguese is looking to edge out Liverpool's Luis Suarez to win the European Golden Boot with both men currently tied on 31 league goals.

Gareth Bale has also been included in Ancelotti's 21-man squad and could get his first outing in two weeks to ensure he is fully match-fit to face Atletico in Lisbon next weekend.
