Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra will not play in Tuesday's Champions League tie against Lyon after tearing a thigh muscle in training, the Spanish team's medical service confirmed.
The French international was also forced to pull out of Monday's training session.
The French team visit the Spanish capital on Tuesday for the first of their two clashes in this year's Champions League.
