Real Madrid set to hand youngster five year deal to ward off Arsenal

Spanish champions Real Madrid are set to offer youngster Jose Rodriguez a new five year deal, which will include a £9.6million release clause, as they look too ward off interest from Arsenal Football Club, according to talkSPORT.

Having broken into the first team at Real Madrid – Rodgriguez has earnt himself 156 minutes of playing time this season, and is destined to have a great future at the Santiago Bernabeu according to Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho.

Rodgriguez has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, with the Spaniard reportedly rejecting a five year deal from Arsenal in October.

Real Madrid are going to offer Rodgriguez this new deal once he turns 18 on December 16th.

Real Madrid are desperate to avoid losing any more young talent. Having seen the likes of Juan Mata and Roberto Soldado leave the club – the two are both arguably their respected sides key players.

Rodgriguez is the youngest player Real Madrid have fielded in the UEFA Champions League after coming on for Kaka against Ajax in their recent 4-1 win.
