Madrid on alert as Serie A superstar given the green light to leave

Possibly one of the most targeted players in Europe at this time has been given the all clear by Juventus to leave.

The Juventus superstar, Paul Pogba joined the Italian champions in October 2014, signing a 5 year deal. Already making a name for himself, he has gained more and more attention from clubs and the media in quick succession, giving him a hefty price tag.

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola (translation required) has confirmed that he is contact with the current Champions of Europe, Real Madrid. Although only at the ‘initial phase’, Raiola told the Spanish paper Marca that Pogba “admires Zidane” and “has a dream of winning the Ballon d’Or”. “Real Madrid is a Fantastic Club to achieve that”.

However, he needs to choose a project, not a manager”. With Real Madrid’s recent history of managers coming and going in quick succession, there is never any certainty that Zidane will last at Madrid, so he will need to think hard about his decision.

Raiola has also told Marca that Pogba “Wouldn’t have a problem with staying at Juventus, he is very happy there”.

With Pogba’s huge contribution to helping Juventus win the Serie A and Coppa Italia double last season, he will be in no rush to leave. He will, without a doubt be at the top of many clubs shopping lists this summer.
