City set to lose Sergio Aguero to Real Madrid in the summer

Starsport revealed last week that Spanish giants Real Madrid are still tracking Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and expect to sign him during the summer.

Real Madrid are looking to spend around £45million to land the Argentine striker and may also offer Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain in a part exchange deal. It has been reported that after the break-up of his marriage, Aguero has become disillusioned with life in Manchester.

Madrid president Florentino Perez has taken charge of all transfers and is worried he may lose Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. Along with Aguero he has also targeted Gareth Bale as the player to replace the Portuguese superstar.

Real Madrid were keen to sign Aguero from Atletico Madrid when he joined City but they refused to sell to their fierce rivals. Many think the deal could go ahead as Sergio is looking to move back to Madrid to be close to his son who moved back to Spain with his wife Giannina.

Manchester City only have the F.A. cup left to play for and if they fail to win anything this season I think they will really struggle to keep hold of Sergio Aguero. Aguero hasn’t enjoyed this season half as much as his breakthrough season in the Premier league, where he netted 23 goals and that famous winner on the final day of the season against Queens Park Rangers.
