Wright link excites Lita

Former England international Ian Wright is being linked with a coaching role at Reading on a non-contract basis.

The former Arsenal hot-shot ended his playing career seven years ago but has been offered the chance to gain some coaching experience by Royals boss Steve Coppell.

Coppell signed Wright when he was the manager of Crystal Palace from non-league Greenwich in 1985.

Striker Leroy Lita is excited by the news, telling the Reading Evening Post: "It would be great if he did come down to the training ground.

"I heard he came down to our game last Tuesday and said he wanted to come down and see the boys train and see what Reading were like.

"He came to the dressing room after the game but I missed him. He spoke to the gaffer and Glen Little, who played with him at Burnley."
