Tabb: Our display was laughable

Tabb, who was moved to an unfamiliar left-back position to cover for the unfit Ryan Bertrand, felt the Royals should have easily beaten Scunthorpe to move them further from the drop zone.

"It's a joke," the 25-year-old told the Reading Evening Post. "We should have been 3-0 up at half-time but we should be good enough to keep a clean sheet at 1-0 as well and the gaffer told us that.

"We played so well and created so many chances, it's a joke really.

"You've got to be good enough to hold off at 1-0 but we've also got to be good enough to go 2-0 up. We've got to be mentally stronger, it's a bitter pill to swallow really."
