Reading manager Steve Coppell has confirmed that Steve Sidwellwill be moving on this summer after leaving the midfielder out of the final game of the season against
Blackburn Rovers.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a switch to Chelsea after declining the offer of a new contract from the Royals.
"He's gone," Coppell confirmed after the draw with Rovers.
"I know exactly where - but I'm not allowed to say."
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann broke three bones in his hand in the first half of the 3-3 draw with Mark Hughes' side.
The American shot-stopper had to be substituted after being injured in a challenge with Shabani Nonda.
"It was a collision of bodies but my goalkeeper's broken three metacarpals," Coppell added.
"I wouldn't like to say what the order of the collision was - I can't imagine it was a contact that came about in the follow-through though.
"There was a point of contact somewhere. Whether it was a foul or not, I think most referees would err on the side of caution there."
