Reading defender Nicky Shorey admits he is flattered by continued reports linking him with a move to Premier League rivals West Ham United.
The England left-back has yet to put pen to paper on a proposed new contract with the Royals leading to speculation that the Hammers will lodge a £5million bid for his services.
Romford-born Shorey began his career at Leyton Orient before moving to Reading six years ago.
The 26-year-old made his England debut in the 1-1 friendly draw with Brazil at Wembley in May.
"It's flattering to hear they (West Ham) might be interested, we'll just have to see what happens," Shorey told the Daily Mail.
Referring to his own contract situation at the Madejski Stadium, he added: "My agent has been dealing with my contract, but so far I haven't received an offer.
"I don't know what's going to happen. I want to see where Reading see me in their plans and also where the club is going."
